LKG
The Lower Kindergarten (LKG) program at Balgurukulam Pre School is thoughtfully designed for children aged 4 years, laying a strong foundation for joyful and meaningful learning.
Inspired by the ancient Gurukul philosophy and aligned with the principles of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, our LKG curriculum focuses on holistic development — nurturing the child’s mind, body, and values.
What Makes Our LKG Special?
1. Foundational Learning Skills
We build strong early literacy and numeracy skills through phonics, storytelling, number concepts, pattern recognition, and hands-on activities.
2. Learning Through Play
Our activity-based approach encourages exploration, creativity, and problem-solving through games, role play, art, music, and movement.
3. Strong Value System (Sanskars)
Rooted in Indian culture, we nurture respect, gratitude, discipline, empathy, and moral values through stories, prayers, and daily practices.
4. Language-Rich Environment
Children are exposed to rich vocabulary development through rhymes, conversations, show-and-tell, and interactive storytelling.
5. Social & Emotional Development
We help children develop confidence, independence, teamwork, and positive social behavior in a caring and safe environment.
6. Physical Development
Fine and gross motor skills are strengthened through outdoor play, yoga, creative crafts, and coordinated activities.
